ABERSOCH GOLF CLUB
Designed by Harry Vardon in 1907, he won the open six times, Abersoch now offers the golfer two distinct halves, the first nine are to open fairways but shouldn't be under estimated. Whilst the back nine will test the best, being of a links design and running parallel to the beach, a favourite destination of many a golf ball! The views from many of the tee's and fairways are stunning, reaching out across Abersoch harbour to Snowdonia National Park.
Today's Golfer magazine rates Abersoch Golf Course as 5th in their category 1 of dream courses. (Rankings based on cost of green fees). For more info visit their website at www.abersochgolf.co.uk.

PWLLHELI GOLF CLUB
Designed in 1900, the first 9 holes ran along the sand dunes. A further 9 holes were added in 1909 by the then 5 times British Open Champion James Baird. With 9 holes of gentle parkland and the other 9 being a true test of links golf Pwllheli golf course offers a real challenge to all levels of golfer. From the course and clubhouse, magnificent views are to be had across Cardigan Bay to Snowdonia and the Cambrian mountain range. With the clubhouse closer to the sea than any other Golf Clubhouse in the UK you could even choose to go paddling between games to relieve those course trodden feet.

NEFYN GOLF CLUB
You'll need your handicap card for this one. Formed in 1907, the original 18 holes is today extended to 26. 10 out and two distinctly different 8 back. The course is open all year round with unrivalled sea and mountain views from all 26 holes. Try one of the cliff shots to test your ability!

Famous names who have played the course include Ian Woosnam (he holds the course record for the old course), Ronan Rafferty, Peter Allis, Mike Atherton & Clement Attlee.

PORTHMADOG GOLF CLUB
Porthmadog and Borth-y-Gest Golf Club, as it was originally called, was opened in the very early 1900's probably being played by 1905. Numerous changes and modifications have been carried out since those early days when members were expected to pay compensation for any grazing animals killed or injured by them.
